Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 to Drain Internet: Up to 81 GB!

Ana sayfa / News

The system requirements for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 were announced a few weeks ago, revealing that the game will take up significantly less storage space compared to its predecessor. However, recent developments have left gamers astonished!

It has been revealed that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will consume up to 81 GB of data per hour, depending on the area being flown over, requiring a substantial amount of bandwidth. Here are the details…

The YouTube channel Compusemble conducted an analysis of the graphical and internet consumption during the Alpha testing of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 held in October. According to the published video, data consumption can reach up to 81 GB per hour in certain areas, such as the Grand Canyon in the United States.

The lawsuit over Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard is finalized!

The Microsoft - Activision Blizzard acquisition case, which has occupied both the gaming world and financial circles for nearly 2 years, has been finalized.

The publisher assessed the workload on CPUs during the tests, as well as internet data consumption. With 400 LOD settings, internet consumption in the Grand Canyon ranged from 60 to 180 Mbps, while with 200 LOD settings, it fluctuated between 25 and 70 Mbps.

High internet consumption levels are largely dependent on the density of cities and the amount of detail in the area. Given that Microsoft decided to run most of the game directly from the cloud, high bandwidth consumption was expected in Microsoft Flight Simulator. However, these high figures have surprised many users.

It’s worth noting that the consumption of up to 81 Gbps is considered a maximum value. However, as shown in the video above, the actual internet consumption is expected to be lower due to the significant variability in data downloads.
